Monsters. I love them. Particularly Sully from Monsters Inc.

What does this have to do with art/craft/life the universe and everything I hear you ask.

It’s because a special little monster is right this very minute marching it’s way to my house. Boy it’s legs are going to be tired when it finally arrives. Apparently it’s a four day journey to my house. Can I wait. HARDLY !!!

Am I about to accost the postman … you betcha.

So who’s the little monster that’s captured my heart ? Well, his name is Balthazar (or Balthy as I already think of him) And this is what his loveable little moosh looks like.

Guess who won the vintage beads ???

Yep me, I’m very happy and now it’s back to waiting impatiently for them to arrive in my little mailbox.

The sooner I have them, the sooner I can make something from them.

I don’t know how this is going to work … actually I do. So I had better explain it to anyone else who wanders on in.

I’m a University student who works two jobs. I don’t own a laptop and so my only access to a computer is at the Uni.

What does this mean to you ? Well … it will mean no daily posts. Regularity will not be my thing until/unless I get a laptop.

I thought it was only fair to warn you. After all … is there anything more frustrating than wanting your “daily fix” of a blog only to find that it’s just not happening ???

Button Love

I’m SOOO excited. It’s all the fault of EVIL- bay (Ebay)

I have been looking for some interesting buttons to turn into earrings. I have been surfing the web here in Australia and just not finding what I want. This made me think that all the good buttons must be in shops in America. More web surfing ensued and still not what I want.

Then I decided to go look at EVIL-bay. Yes there they were. Gorgeous glass vintage buttons. The kind I want to covet and shine and then bring into the light to watch them gleam.

So I sit and wait impatiently. Very impatiently. Because it’s 4 days until I’ll know if I have those dreamy, gorgeous, buttons.

Ah my buttons, my precioussss buttons.

P.S. If anybody knows a good place to get glass, vintagey buttons please leave me a message.

Welcome

Once Upon a Time,

                              There was a little grrrl with a BIG imagination. She was made of bits of string, a spring, and things that go BOING !!! At least that’s what she had once been told in a chatroom.

The grrrl realised that she had creatures to let roam to new homes. Stuff to paint, earrings to make and things she just had to share. She never grew up, she never grew old, and she refused to be beige.

One day she wandered into the forests of WordPress and decided to set up home.

I think I’m going to like it here.
